Dear OHS Families,

I hope you are all enjoying your long weekend!

Thank you to the parents who joined the PTA meeting this past Thursday evening. The parent support and involvement at OHS really strengthens our school!

Thanks to the PTA, we are excited to host another author visit this Tuesday. We will welcome author Chris Grabenstein to OHS to visit with our grade 3-5 students. Mr. Grabenstein is the New York Times best-selling author of the Lemoncello series, as well as other engaging books. We are excited for his visit!

A few important reminders for this week:

  • We are expected to experience some significantly cold weather this coming week. Please make sure students come to school with appropriate cold weather apparel.

  • We completed our Winter NWEA assessments last week, but we are still engaged in Acadience testing in grades K-3 until January 29th. We will notify you when scores are posted in Infinite Campus.

  • Please make sure you update your SDM daily with any dismissal changes.

I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead! Take care.

Sean F. Smyth, Principal
